National Federation of the Blind of Washington's Greater Chapter
Meeting

Please join us for the monthly meeting of the National Federation
for the Blind of Washington's Greater Seattle Chapter Meeting. It
will be held on April 13, 2024, at Razzi's Pizzeria, 8523
greenwood Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98103.

There are a number of things that we need to cover and discuss,
as well as having time to mingle, connect, and have some food with
friends. So please come on, come as yourself, come as you are!
Everybody who is Blind is welcome, as well as sighted friends and
allies.

As always, there may be an icebreaker, so we can get to know
each other!

We will be continuing the discussion of having chapter
committees, so if you would like to air your contributions, have
an idea, or want to collaborate within a committee, do not
hesitate to chime in!

As said last month, the NFB National Convention
is just right around the corner! We will be talking about it,
plus we will have a discussion and a vote amongst members to see
how much financial assistance our chapter's treasury can put in
for having one, or some, of our members attend. and,if you would
like some assistance in attending or planning to attend this
beautiful convention of the largest gathering of Blind people in
the nation, we will have all the juicy details during our
meeting.

We will also be planning some awesome events that we want to
do around the Greater Seattle area, potentially this spring, and
into the summer! We have a yearly chapter picnic, which will be
here before we know it. So we need to start planning for it. Our
board will also be coordinating any fun outings with or without
a fundraiser attached to it, now that the weather is getting
nicer, and everybody's spirits are much more cheered up. Any
input and ideas from our members is always appreciated.

We will also play the NFB Presidential Release, for April
2024. It has been a while since this chapter played the
releases, so we can hopefully restart this as a routine for
future chapter meetings. The NFB Presidential Releases are
podcast-type summaries from the president of the national
organization, detailing all aspects of what is going on with the
blind community nationwide, new NFB programs, policies, events,
and other things. So come in and be inspired to make change.

We may also have previous national convention experiences from
members, philosophy discussions, reports from our new Secretary,
treasurer and board members, a statewide update, and so much
more! Oh yes, and of course, food! So come for the meeting, stay
for the kinship and connections, grab some amazing food and make
your Saturday afternoon a great one to enjoy.

Have an awesome day, and again, thanks so much for attending this
chapter meeting in advance! This email will be sent in advance, so
chapter members, friends and family can have plenty of planning
room and transportation options. Hope to see you there this
Saturday, an please remember to keep your feet on the ground, and
keep reaching for the stars!

Sincerely,
