<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">I am sending this email in regard to the upcoming “field trip” planned for <strong>Saturday, Dec. 7<sup>th</sup> from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm</strong> at Sea-Tac Airport. Alice Klein will be accompanying 3 participants arriving by light rail to the Sea-Tac Light rail station at the airport (they are boarding at Columbia City Station). Amy Parker, with Portland State University will be in attendance as well, along with one of her O & M students, Katja.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">Marci, I believe we are still waiting to hear if any members from NFB of WA will be joining us. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">Our meet-up area will be at the Sea-Tac Light Rail Station, where the walkway to/from the airport meets up with the light rail station (so, not on the train platform but at the concourse below). There is a seating area there and there are Secure Access Restrooms bordering each side of that area. Candace Fields, with the Port of Seattle (Facilities Accessibility Program Manager for Sea-Tac) will be joining us on our tour as well. There is a gathering space that Candace knows of where we can gather to debrief at the end of our time. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">We will plan to traverse the walkway leading into the airport and will also explore the parking garage area where taxis and third-party vehicle vendors (like Uber and Lyft) pick up/drop off.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">The intention of this preliminary field trip is to pinpoint what features to include on the Sea-Tac Airport braille map, which is in the early stages of development. We greatly value your time and energy dedicated to assisting Sound Transit with these efforts. As mentioned, participants will receive a $75 gift card (via email) for your efforts.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">Just sending along one more bit of information, in case this helps with plans for anyone interested in joining us for this field trip Dec. 7<sup>th</sup> at SEA-Tac Airport Station. We have several participants from the Department of Services for the Blind (Seattle) who will be meeting at Columbia City Station and taking the light rail to SEA-Tac airport from there; arriving by our 1:00 pm start time. I wasn’t sure if that would be useful information for anyone interested in joining us from NFB of WA, but wanted to let you know about that. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;">I myself will be coming from the north end; either driving or getting to one of the stations north of SEA-Tac and taking the light rail from there. <strong>NOTE:</strong> There will be a bit of a service disruption on <strong>Dec. 7<sup>th</sup> & 8<sup>th</sup></strong> affecting several stations <u>north of Westlake Station</u>. Trains at Roosevelt Station, U District, University of WA and Capitol Hill will be using one track, and some will require free shuttle service between stations for the affected area. Estimate is that trains using the single track will run every 22 min. at these stations.</span></p>
