LOL <span style='font-family:"Segoe UI Emoji",sans-serif'>😊</span> <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><sub>yesterday, as I was being dropped off, the driver decided to ignore my directions once again, turning to random passers-by for assistance and help navigating the tricky construction areas near the school I am assigned to work with the blind student. but this random bypasser turned out to be the special ed teacher that works with my student. she was coincidentally arriving while I was, and she essentially had to witness the awful treatment I lived through getting off this Access bus. the driver insisted very loudly, after getting instructions from the teacher, that I was \u201ca student\u201d and needed someone to help him off the bus. then proceeded to simply get this teacher to help me. luckily, this teacher knows me and even though she kept saying that I can get off the bus by myself, and that I was an adult staff working at the school, the driver kept insisting that I was to be helped and escorted off the damned bus. <o:p></o:p></sub></p><p class=MsoNormal><sub>we somehow were able to convince the jerk of a driver that I was, for once, *<b>NOT</b>* a student, and I got off the bus fully independently without this assistance. I walked into the door with the teacher, no doubt on what she was thinking in her head, however that was an absolute embarrassment and even to my reputation in the school, despite my best efforts in dealing with this stupid driver. <o:p></o:p></sub></p><p class=MsoNormal><sub>access paratransit needs to hear more of these stories, and unfortunately, they simply do not and can not take the time to really listen to their poor and embattled customers,. it\u2019s putting my emotional and mental health at risk, and I do not like it at all. <o:p></o:p></sub></p><p class=MsoNormal><sub><o:p>
