Hi Marci and Alice,
<br>My name is Carolyn Seiden. I am an event producer for Seattle Indies\u2014a nonprofit representing independent game developers in the greater Seattle area. We are having our first in-person accessibility gaming event on Saturday, January 24 from 12-3pm at the WA Talking Book and Braille Library, where we are inviting the blind and low-vision community for an afternoon of playing videogames alongside game developers to connect and learn from one another in preparation for the upcoming <a href="https://itch.io/jam/games-for-blind-gamers-5">Games for Blind Gamers Game Jam</a>.

<br>The Games for Blind Gamers Game Jam is an online videogame innovation event that starts on January 30 and lasts 1 month where blind and sighted creators work together to develop videogames for the blind. <span style="caret-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);">Our goal with this pre-event is to create a welcoming space for BLV gamers, accessibility partners, and game developers to connect in person, where they can play together, perspective swap, and connect with potential teammates for the game jam. The idea of creating a "play together" event before the game jam begins is that many accessibility features need to be mindfully designed into the game at start, so we thought this would help with more accessible game design. <br><br>We would love if you can help us get the word out about our pre-event. All ages are welcome.
