We need people to submit written testimony by 8 AM on Saturday, February 21. Below are some points I made in my written testimony which you can copy and paste, or you can write something simple yourselves. If it\u2019s not already checked you should mark the box for 2SSB 6035.</div><div><br></div><div><b><u>Sample testimony:</u></b></div><div><b><u><br></u></b></div><div>I urge you to support 2SSB 6025 because blind and low vision voters currently do not have equal access to voting.</div><div>!. There are often transportation barriers that prevent use from getting to a vote center to use an accessible voting machine.. </div><div>2. Voting centers are only open during business hours on weekdays during early voting periods.</div><div>3. Because we cannot see our signatures they often look different than what\u2019s on file. They are challenged much more often than others.</div><div>4. Voting from home means that:</div><div> a. We must rely on a non-disable family member or friend to mark our b ballot which means it is not a secret ballot. That person may not mark our ballot they way we want it OR</div><div> b. We can mark a ballot that has been emailed to us by our elections office but we then must own a printer to print it and sign it in the usual way which leads to the signature challenge issue.</div><div> 5. At least 12 others states use some kind of electronic ballot return portal. There have been no security issues.</div></div></body></html>
