What:  Next San Francisco NFB Chapter Meeting
When:  Next Tuesday, October 7th, from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M.
Where: San Francisco Lighthouse - 214 Van Ness St. San Francisco

The San Francisco chapter of the National Federation of the Blind will meet on Tuesday evening, October 7, 2014 at the San Francisco Lighthouse, 214 Van Ness St., San Francisco.  We will enjoy appetizers and modest supper starting at 6:30 PM.  The formal meeting begins at 7:00  PM and adjourns promptly at 8:00 PM.  Please note that our community service event that was scheduled for Saturday, October 4 has been postponed until November due to logistical concerns that were out of our control.

Last meeting we caught up on the Redbox settlement, NFB happenings and discussed community service opportunities.  During our next meeting we will discuss, among other items, how to improve transportation options in the Bay Area such as BART, Caltrain and ridesharing services and an opportunity to help feed the homeless in November.  We'll also try to arrange for the new KNFB Reader app to be on hand for those who want to give it a test drive before buying it. Don't miss out on the fun and lively discussion.
