I am filled with Hope, Energy and Love by participating in the National Federation of the Blind because my expectations are raised, my contributions make a difference to me and to others, and I can celebrate the realization of my dreams with my Federation family.
It is my pleasure to announce that our 2017 National Federation of the Blind of California convention will be held at the Embassy Suites Milpitas Silicon Valley, 901 East Calaveras Boulevard, Milpitas, CA 95035 on November 2, 3, 4 and 5, 2017.
Room Rates:
Double Suites (no smoking) $129.00
Including Single, Triple and Quad (no smoking)
King Suites (no smoking) $119.00
8.5 percent tax not included

2017 National Federation of the Blind Convention
When: Monday, July 10—Saturday, July 15, 2017
Where: Rosen Shingle Creek Resort 9939 Universal Boulevard Orlando, Florida 32819-9357
Hotel Information and Room Rates:
The 2017 room rates are singles and doubles, $83; and triples and quads, $89. In addition to the room rates there will be a tax, which at present is
12.5 percent. No charge will be made for children under seventeen in the room with parents as long as no extra bed is requested. Please note that the hotel is a no-smoking facility.
For 2017 convention room reservations you can call the hotel at (866)
996-6338 after January 1. You may also write directly to the Rosen Shingle Creek, 9939 Universal Boulevard, Orlando, Florida 32819-9357. The hotel will want a deposit of $95 for each room and will want a credit card number or a personal check. If you use a credit card, the deposit will be charged against your card immediately, just as would be the case with a $95 check.
If a reservation is cancelled before Thursday, June 1, 2017, half of the deposit will be returned. Otherwise refunds will not be made.
Delta Discounted Airfare
Members of the National Federation of the Blind, and all individuals planning their travel to attend our annual national convention, are being offered discounted airfare from Delta Air Lines through their Delta Meeting Network. Those interested should simply go to www.delta.com/meeting to book their flight and enter the meeting event code: NMPWS. The discount will be calculated based on your specific travel arrangements and could range from two percent to ten percent. If you have any questions, please call the Delta Meeting Network, (800) 328-1111, 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. central time, Monday through Friday.
*Reminder:* Preregistration for the 2017 National Convention opens Wednesday, March 1.
