On behalf of the California Secretary of State Office of Voting Systems
Technology Assessment, please see the following invitation to participate
in user testing of two Remote Accessible Vote By Mail Systems. Additional
opportunity to provide feedback directly to the SF Department of Elections
is forthcoming in a separate e-mail.
We appreciate your taking the time to participate in this critically
important accessibility and usability effort.
The California Secretary of State, Office of Voting Systems Technology
Assessment is seeking volunteers to test two remote accessible vote by mail
systems, Dominion’s ImageCast Remote 5.2 (Rank Choice Voting) and Democracy
Lives’ Secure Select (Modification). The testing will take place January
22 & 23, 2018 (Dominion) and January 25 & 26, 2018 (Democracy Live). To
participate, volunteers must have access to the internet, a computing
device, printer and any auxiliary devices and/or software, including screen
readers, if applicable. The testing can be done from any location of the
volunteers choosing, with an internet connection. Volunteers must be
capable of launching a web browser, logging into a web portal to access a
ballot, marking a ballot, and printing a ballot. Volunteers will also be
asked to complete Pre and Post Test surveys.
