Hi Folks,

At tomorrow’s chapter meeting we’ll have several guests from the San
Francisco State graduate Program for Visual Impairments including Ting Siu,
Associate Professor. This is our chance to chat with upcoming Teachers of
Students with Visual Impairments about blindness and how best to work with
students.

We’ll also hand out raffle tickets for those who wish to help sell them for
the $200 Southwest gift card. When you give out the tickets, they are on a
double roll which two tickets each having the same number. You will keep
one and the person buying the ticket will keep the other. Please have the
person write the name on the back of the ticket you keep or have a method
of recording the person’s name along with the ticket numbers they’ve
purchased. You will also want to get their email address. We’ll chat more
tomorrow about raffle logistics.

Finally, if you’d like to contribute to our Bay Area Gift Basket or and/or
door prizes you may either get an item to me by Monday October 22 or you
may donate funds that will be used to purchase items by Monday October 15.
Basically we’re looking for items from companies based in the Bay Area
(like Gilroy garlic, Apple gift cards, Napa wine, See’s Candies) or
trinkets a (like a mug with a picture of the Golden Gate bridge)

See you tomorrow,

Christina
