[NFBSF] Join us in a conversation about blindness, race, and intersectionality

Hello, all,
       For those who have not yet had a chance to read White Fragility in preparation for this coming Tuesday’s discussion, I recommend taking in at least these two chapters before our meeting:
Chapter 9:  White fragility in action
Chapter 10:  White fragility and the rules of engagement.
        More than half the people living in San Francisco are people of color. I think the percentage of people of color, especially of black Americans, is even higher in other Bay Area communities.
       It would be wonderful if our San Francisco  chapter meetings and active membership could reflect the full diversity of blind and low vision people living in San Francisco and the surrounding communities. 
       The upcoming Tuesday evening meeting seems like a wonderful start in this direction. Bravo!
     Hopefully, we‘ll all learn a lot from each other.
