[NFBSF] Disability Rights Advocates Gala Tonight

Hi All: 

 

Please find attached information about Disability Rights Advocates (DRA)
gala that takes place virtually tonight at 5:00 PDT. Although the gala is
free, donations are welcome. DRA provides advocacy assistance, legal
support, structured negotiations and education. DRA represents and works
with other organizations to effect systems-change. Systems-change can be
within an institution such as a large healthcare network, transit
organization, state or federal agency. DRA has worked with the NFB and ACB.
Most recently, DRA worked with local organizations to ensure deaf persons
with developmental disabilities could effectively communicate with staff and
peers. Lastly, Our own, Hobbi   Weddler (sorry for any spelling errors) is
one of the speakers at the gala.
