Youth of Tomorrow: Making Conversation with Your Peers and Family

Do you have a hard time starting and ending a conversation? Do you feel
stuck on not knowing how to respond to topics you don’t know much about? In
this workshop we’ll play a fun auditory game while talking with your peers
and build on our conversation skills in a fun, relaxed environment. Come
join us for some laughs while practicing and expanding our conversational
skills. Socializing and conversing is important when talking with our
friends, family, teachers and eventually our bosses and co-workers.

When: April 10 from 1pm-2pm PST

Where: Zoom

Who: Youth living with vision loss ages 14 - 24

RSVP: Amy Jine at ajine at vistacenter.org

YoT: Paving the Way for Youth Leaders - A Day in the Life

Youth of Tomorrow will build on their informational interview skills by
meeting an expert who is a software engineer at Apple and Vista Center’s
own rehabilitation counselor.

impairment. He will talk about what skills you need to get hired there as
well as his perspective of having a son with vision loss. Vivian Younger is
a writer and rehab counselor who teaches various classes to adults with
vision loss at Vista Center. Come hear her story and what led to her career
path and how she encourages people with vision loss on how to live their
best life.
