Hi Nelson, 

I hope that you find the following information from the SSA website helpful. 

"As of 2021, the maximum amount of money an individual can earn while receiving SSDI benefits is $1,310 for non-blind disabled workers. (Disabled workers who are blind are subject to SSDI income limits of $2,190 per month.)" 

Also, there are allowable dlinbness related deductions. They are limited, but spenddown does help.

Hello Christina,
Social Security only allows recipients recieving disability Social Security to make no more than $13,010 in a month in addition to their Social Security, so by being paid $2,000 in one month they could get in trouble with Social Security. Maybe two check one $1,300 and then another a month later for $700?

This is more complete info about the casting opportunity posted earlier by Tim. I've spoken directly with Genna via my work at the LightHouse to get this info: 

 

There's a paid casting opportunity by a large tech company that sells phones, computers and tablets. 

The tech company is looking for non-actors to appear in a photo shoot using their products. Here is the info and the requirements. 

 

Who: All genders aged 25 to 65 

When: October 26-28, one day in this range, depending on availability 

Where: San Francisco, California. You do not need to be a resident of San Francisco but must be able to get there.

Pay: $2000 

Submission Deadline: Friday, October 15 by noon 

 

Submission Guidelines

. Candidates must not be in a current campaign for any devices or other tech companies. 

. Candidates must be willing to disclose COVID-19 vaccination status and get
COVID-19 testing if selected. 

. Candidates must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
