Please share with others whom might be interested as well.
BART will be hosting 2 upcoming events for Blind and Low Vision passengers to familiarize riders with the accessible features of the BART system and to receive input on ways we can make BART more accessible for everyone.
1. The first event will be a Fleet of the Future Safety and Orientation Tour for Blind and Low-Vision Riders:
1. We will have a braille safety checklist for attendees and a mock-up on the platform of the track safe refuge area:
1. Tuesday Jan 31 from 10:30am to noon
2. 19th Street BART station, upper platform
3. Additional information: BART invites members of blind and low-vision community to safety orientation on 1/31 | bart.gov
2. We will also be hosting a series of Town Halls focused on Accessibility. The first will be for Blind and Low Vision riders
1. We will have a discussion of BART features/services for blind riders and detail upcoming projects, as well as to have an open dialogue on ways we can improve
1. Tuesday February 28 from 10am to noon
