Meeting held on: Tuesday, April 8, 2024, 6:30 PM
Location: Zoom

1.	Call to Order and Introductions
Bobbi invited members to share their name, pronouns, where they were calling
from, any identities they would like to share and "what skill or anything
that you have always wanted to learn?"

*  Board members present: Bobbi Pompey, Christina Daniels, Laura Millar,
Sara Hadsell, Serena Olsen, Sheri Albers, Jeanette T

*  Members: Lisa Irving, Taryn Morris, Jeff Buckwalter, Ginnie Prince,
Monica Wegner

2.	Reports

a.	Secretary's Report given by Sheri Albers, Secretary

*  Sheri reported that she emailed the minutes of the March 2024 meeting to
the listserv. She asked if there were any questions or comments.

*  A motion was made and carried to approve the Secretary's report.

b.	Treasurer's Report given by Sara Hadsell, Treasurer

*  Reported bank balance is $1231.60. The Venmo balance is $0.

*  Sarah stated that BMO does not require monthly transfer to waive bank
fee, so no longer need to keep Venmo balance. 

*  Expenses not yet incurred: $100 for NFBCA donations. Several attempts
have been made to send the money, but the transaction has failed. Sarah is
waiting for further instructions from affiliate.

*  A motion was made and carried to approve the Treasurer's report.  

*  FYI: Annual dues are $10 and are payable in January. If anyone wants to
pay dues and are using PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle, please use this information
to pay:

The address for payment of checks is 585 9th St, Oakland, CA 94607. If
paying by PayPal, you must do it on a computer, which is where you can
select that you are paying a friend, rather than purchasing an item. The
PayPal phone app is set up for commercial purchases.

*      2024 Convention: Runs July 3-8 at the Rosen Center in Orlando, FL


*	Theme for our 2024 convention is "Believe, Dream, Include, Lead,
Champion". These brand values are in the NFB strategic plan.
*	Registration for the convention is open and is currently $25. Go

register. You have until May 31 to register online.

d.	Legislative report was not available because our guest speaker
needed to reschedule.

2.	Chapter business

*  State Convention

a.	Bobbi thanked Christina and Lisa for putting together the "Green"
auction basket which sold for $265.
b.	Lisa praised Bobbi on running a great Hospitality Room
c.	Bobbi is gathering feedback for the planning committee for next year

 

*  Social Gatherings

a.	Discussion continued from last month's meeting as to what days and
how frequently to hold social gatherings.
b.	A motion was made to have a social gathering every other month and
it passed.
c.	A motion was made to have social gatherings on the even number
months of the year and it passed.
d.	It was discussed to have social gatherings on the third Saturday of
the month: time TBD 
e.	 

May 14 Hybrid Chapter Meeting

a.	Please email RSVP to this email is you and any guests plan to attend
in-person so we can have enough food for all. Let us know of any food
allergies or dietary restrictions.  
b.	The same Zoom link will be used for the hybrid portion of the
meeting

4.	Adjourn: A motion was made and passed to adjourn the meeting.
