Join the National Federation of the Blind San Francisco Chapter for our
next social gathering!

What to Expect:
We’ll be gathering for brunch on the outdoor patio at Brenda’s Oakland, a
Southern-Cajun restaurant known for its delicious brunch, warm hospitality,
and great vibe. This is a relaxed, social time to connect with fellow blind
and low vision community members.


Whether you’ve been to an event before or this would be your very first
one—we’d love to have you!

You do not have to be a member to join us.


This is a great opportunity to meet our members, make new friends, and
learn more about the National Federation of the Blind in a welcoming,
casual setting.


RSVP Information:
We’ve reserved outdoor patio seating for 12 please RSVP by May 12th so we
can give the restaurant a final count.

Please RSVP by replying to this thread or texting Laura at 925-321-8804.


We’ll do our best to accommodate drop-ins, but it really helps to RSVP
ahead of time as patio space is limited.


Walking Directions from MacArthur BART Station
(Approximately 0.6 miles / 15-minute walk)

   1. Exit the BART station and turn left.
   2. Walk about 170 feet and turn right to follow 40th Street to the east.
   3. Walk east on 40th Street toward Telegraph Avenue for about 0.3 miles.
   4. When you reach Telegraph Avenue, cross over it and then turn left,
   crossing 40th.
   5. Take the next right onto 41st Street.
   6. Walk about 0.3 miles — Brenda’s Oakland will be on your right!
   7. Brenda‘s is located at the intersection of 41st St. and Broadway with
   the entrance on 41st St.


Taking AC Transit? Ride the 51A Bus!


>From the North (Rockridge BART or College Avenue):

   - Board: AC Transit Line 51A heading southbound toward Fruitvale BART.
   - Ride: Travel along College Avenue and then Broadway.
   - Disembark: At Broadway & 40th Street.
   - Walk: Proceed one block north on Broadway to reach Brenda’s Oakland at
   4045 Broadway, located at the corner of Broadway and 41st Street.  The
   entrance itself is on 41st St.


>From the South (Fruitvale BART, Downtown Oakland, or Alameda):

   - Board: AC Transit Line 51A heading northbound toward Rockridge BART.
   - Ride: Travel through Alameda, Downtown Oakland, and up Broadway.
   - Disembark: At Broadway & 40th Street.
   - Walk: Proceed one block north on Broadway to reach Brenda’s Oakland at
   4045 Broadway, located at the corner of Broadway and 41st Street. The
   entrance itself is on 41st St.
