Huge congratulations to Asanda Pavlacka for making the Blind Cricket World
Cup team heading to India this November!

We’re thrilled she’s sharing her passion and skills to bring Blind Cricket
to the Bay Area Blind Community. This inclusive sport for blind and low
vision players uses a sound-making ball, larger stumps, and adapted rules
like verbal cues and underarm bowling to ensure everyone can play.

Join Asanda on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 2–5 PM, at the grassy area on
the corner of Hearst and McGee in North Berkeley, near the North Berkeley
BART station, for our first skill-building session.

Whether you’re new to the sport or eager to swing a bat, come learn,
connect, and have fun with other folks from the Bay Area Blind Community.
No prior experience is needed, and no RSVP is required—just bring your
enthusiasm! Enter “Hearst and McGee, North Berkeley” into Google Maps or
Apple Maps to find the location, and text Asanda if you need help locating
the group.

Contact: Call Asanda at 510-507-1656 for details or join our WhatsApp group
for updates on this and future cricket meetups. Let’s kick off Blind
Cricket in the Bay Area!
