[NFBSF] REMINDER: our next NFB SF board Meeting is Tuesday, January 06, 2026 AT 6:30 PM

Hello All,
I will be in Mexico visiting Mom from January 3-14.  So I'm going to miss
the meetings.  I did want to give you all an update however.  A fraudulent
payment was made from our BMO account via PayPal.  So they closed the whole
account.  So I haven't been able to send our $200 to the East Bay Center
for the Blind yet.  They are requiring me to jump through a few hoops to
reopen the account.  They also sent a ridiculous letter that was
inaccurate, so I'd prefer to not deal with them anymore.  So I was
wondering what you all would think if we moved the money into an interest
bearing checking account to the online bank SoFi.  I still would need to
talk t SoFi to confirm that my research about their accounts are correct
(no monthly or yearly fees, earns a little interest, etc.).
I'm also not sure if there are any specific laws or NFB rules regarding
what type of account we can have.  Christina, amybe you know since you were
the state treasurer for awhile??
