Dear Community,

You’re invited to join the National Federation of the Blind of San Francisco
for our June monthly social—a Pride Month picnic at Dolores Park on Saturday,
June 21 at 12:00 PM!

Whether you’re blind or low vision, LGBTQ+, a family member, ally, or just
curious about who we are—you’re welcome. This event is open to everyone and
designed to be easy, joyful, and community-centered.

Dolores Park will be alive with Pride Month celebration—music in the air,
color all around, and neighbors gathering on the hillside. We’ll be right
in the heart of it with picnic blankets, good food, and great company.

About the Chapter

The National Federation of the Blind of San Francisco (NFBSF) is a
member-led organization of blind and low vision people working to build
equity, opportunity, and connection throughout our city.

We host monthly socials like this one to bring people together—whether
you’ve been part of the community for years or are just beginning to
explore. These gatherings are about showing up, building community, and
celebrating who we are.

You’re warmly invited to spend the afternoon with us.
Bring a blanket, wear your Pride colors, bring something to drink, and come
as you are.

Event Details

What: June Monthly Social – Pride Picnic
When: Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 12:00 PM
Where: Mission Dolores Park, San Francisco
(Exact meeting spot and public transit info will be emailed the week of the
event.)

Lunch Options

You’re welcome to bring your own lunch, or make things easy by joining our
group order from Mission Picnic, a local sandwich shop.

Each boxed lunch includes:
– A sandwich of your choice
– A fresh side salad
– A cookie (vegan orders receive a fruit cup instead)

Boxed lunches typically cost $17.
To simplify logistics and support our chapter, we’re asking for a flat $20
per lunch—or more if you’d like to contribute.
Anything above the cost of lunch goes directly to support NFBSF.

If $20 isn’t possible right now, just let us know—we’re happy to accept the
exact cost.

Place your order by 12:00 PM on Wednesday, June 18.

• BBQ Chicken
Pepper jack, tomato, charred onion, garlic aioli on ciabatta

Mozzarella, pesto, red pepper, arugula, vinaigrette on ciabatta

• Cranturkey
Turkey, Swiss, sprouts, cranberry compote on wheat roll

Salami, mortadella, provolone, giardiniera on white roll

• New Yorker
Roast beef, Swiss, horseradish cream on Kaiser roll

• Picnic Club
Chicken salad, bacon, cheddar, pickles, tomato on ciabatta

Hummus, avocado, cucumber, sprouts, seeds on wheat roll
