[NFBSF] Two Invitations: Friendsgiving RSVP by Tomorrow + Community Conversation on Tuesday

Hello everyone,
The Outreach and Education Committee has two invitations for you this
upcoming week.
First, our Friendsgiving Planning Committee is kindly asking everyone to
RSVP by tomorrow, November 14, so we can make sure there is plenty of food
for all.
We are excited to bring our National Federation of the Blind, the
California Council of the Blind, and the East Bay Center for the Blind
communities together for a warm and welcoming Friendsgiving celebration.
Second, we hope you will join us for our Community Conversation on Tuesday,
November 18.

Because of the space capacity, this gathering is for members of the
National Federation of the Blind, the California Council of the Blind, and
the East Bay Center for the Blind.
If you are not a member yet, it is not too late. You are welcome to join us
at any time, and we would love to welcome you into the community.
Potluck and Contributions
Please bring a potluck dish that serves approximately 10 people
or
a suggested minimum donation of ten dollars per person.
Donations for Friendsgiving are being collected by the East Bay Center for
the Blind.

2. Community Conversation on Tuesday, November 18
Travel Your Way: Tools, Tips, and Advocacy for Blind and Low Vision
Travelers
Hosted by the National Federation of the Blind San Francisco Outreach and
Education Committee
6:00 to 7:00 PM — Outreach and Education Committee Meeting
Open to anyone who wants to help strengthen community engagement, outreach,
and education in the NFB.
7:00 PM — Community Conversation: Travel Your Way
Join us for a relaxed and lively conversation about traveling confidently
as a blind or low vision person. We will share practical tools, tips,
advocacy strategies, favorite travel apps and gadgets, and real-world
stories about navigating transit, airports, rideshare, and more. Whether
you are new to travel or have years of experience, this is a welcoming
space to share what works and learn together.

Our chapter meetings take place on the second Tuesday of each month for
official business.
Our third Tuesday Community Conversations are intentionally more informal,
social, and community focused.
Membership Information
Membership is ten dollars, due when you join.
Annual renewals take place each January to remain active in the chapter.
