Hi, all,

I'm forwarding a quick summary of the ballot measures that will be on 
the 11/3/2026 ballot. I will try to get info for this and send it out by 
the end of this evening. It will be *long*, :) but you will have it in 
plenty of time to do homework before voting.

Remember: if you have a CA ID, or a REAL ID, you can check the status of 
your voter registration at:
https:sos.ca.gov

Look for the link that says "My Voter Status".

Alameda County will send ballot information via email, if you register 
that preference with them. There number is: 510-272-6933. I set that up 
so long ago, I don't remember the details, now. Unfortunately, their 
info only covers local things. I don't know what SF does for accessible 
voter info. Would like to know, if someone shares. :)

Hello all! First, I want to remind members that there are 14 ballot 
measures on the state ballot this year! Please study each carefully! 
Also at the state level there is still an effort by the big business 
community to try and curtail our ada civil rights by introducing the 
concept of ada notification! This is now in the current legislation 
ab649 loenthall. Please oppose this effort! Finally, a reminder that 
next month is a great time to consider possible legislation for next 
year as well as prepare for next year’s budget fight! Good luck to all 
on these efforts!

  At the national level there is a huge fight to defend the 1999 supreme 
court decision that produced Olmstead. This decision undergirds our 
right to live in community rather than to be forced in to institutions! 
Please become aware of this fight and I urge you to get involved. Also a 
reminder that the current court case of Texas vs Kennedy is winding its 
way through the federal court system and could potentially destroy 
section 504 itself.

  Finally on a bay area level, please get involved with the fight to 
save bay area transit by supporting the connect bay area regional
