Hello friends,
The National Federation of the Blind San Francisco Chapter invites you to
join us for our February social outing as we take a trip across the Bay to
Larkspur for lunch, connection, and community.
It may be a cloudy day, and we are going rain or shine. Please dress warmly
and comfortably. Bring a jacket, layers, and anything you need to stay cozy.
Our main gathering location will be:
Shake Shack
Marin Country Mart
1800 Redwood Highway, Larkspur, CA 94939
Plan to arrive by 1:00 pm.
If burgers are not your thing, Larkspur Landing and Marin Country Mart have
plenty of options nearby, including Rustic Bakery, Sushi Co., Starbucks,
and a bagel shop. Grab your food and meet up with us at Shake Shack!
This month’s social also gives us a chance to congratulate and say goodbye
to Lisa Irving as she moves to the East Coast for a new job. We are proud
of her and grateful for her leadership, friendship, and years of service to
our chapter.
You do not need to be a Federation member to attend. If you are Blind, low
vision, sighted, new to the community, or simply curious, you are welcome.
Come as you are.

Ferry tickets and discounts
The ferry between San Francisco and Larkspur is operated by Golden Gate
Ferry.
Typical one-way fares are approximately:
Adult with Clipper card: about $9.25
Adult without Clipper: about $14.00
Youth, seniors 65+, and riders with approved disability or Medicare
discount: about $7.00
Clipper START discount riders may pay about $4.65
Using a Clipper card provides a discounted fare compared to paying without
Clipper.
Clipper works on Golden Gate Ferry, San Francisco Bay Ferry, BART, Muni,
and most Bay Area transit systems.
You can tag your Clipper card at the ferry terminal and add value at ticket
machines, retail locations, or through the Clipper app.
If you qualify for a disability, senior, youth, or income-based discount,
make sure your Clipper card is set up with that discount in advance.
Coming from Oakland
Option 1: Take the San Francisco Bay Ferry from Jack London Square to the
San Francisco Ferry Building and meet us at Gate C at 12:00 pm.
Option 2: Take BART to Embarcadero Station and walk to the Ferry Building
