The LightHouse is excited to welcome our students and other members of the blind, low vision, extended disability community and their caregivers to our 1155 Market Street headquarters to receive a COVID-19 vaccination.<br>

Since the pandemic began our physical locations, like many organizations, have been closed to the public and most of our staff have been serving our community from their homes. So it is very gratifying to open our ‘house’ again for our community and for this very specific and important purpose.<br>
<br>
This location will be open each Friday for a limited time starting on April 2<sup>nd</sup>. For many of you, we know this will be welcome news as you have visited us many times and space will be familiar to you. For those new to the LightHouse, we aim to make this experience as smooth and seamless as we possibly can.<br>
<br>
To register to attend the LightHouse vaccination clinic at 1155 Market Street, you will first need to make an appointment by calling 628-652-2700.<br>
<br>
When you call this number, you will be asked for some basic personal information, your healthcare provider details and will be given an appointment time.<br>
<br>
This line is open and staffed from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday.<br>
Voicemail messages can be left for a call back outside of these hours.<br>
This line is available to speakers of both Spanish and English.<br>
Other language interpreters are available once you leave a voicemail requesting a callback.<br>

Please note: if you have not registered using this method, you will not be able to get the vaccine at this site.<br>

<strong>Getting to Your Appointment</strong><br>
The LightHouse Headquarters is located on 1155 Market Street between 7<sup>th</sup> and 8<sup>th</sup> streets.<br>
<br>
The closest public transit is the Civic Center Bart station. The only exits open currently are those on the United Nations Plaza side.<br>
The closest bus stops are Jones and 6<sup>th</sup> and Orpheum Theater. People using Rideshare apps like Lyft and Uber will need to enter 676 Stevenson Street as the destination into the app. This address is for the rear entrance of 1155 Market Street.<br>
<br>
LightHouse will have volunteers available to meet people outside the front and rear entrances of 1155 Market Street. They will then guide you to the lobby where your information will be checked. All volunteers will practice social distancing and will be wearing masks.<br>
<br>
You will then be directed to the elevator where the number for the 10<sup>th</sup> floor will be pressed for you so touching of elevator controls can be limited to help keep everybody safe.<br>
<br>
Surfaces will be frequently and regularly disinfected (with Safer Choice products made and sold by the LightHouse).<br>
The number of people who can ride an elevator at the same time will be restricted to a designated number by the site manager.<br>
<br>
Once on the 10<sup>th</sup> floor, another group of friendly volunteers will show you where to wait for your vaccination. After your injection, you will wait for 15 minutes before being shown back to the lobby and out of the building. Volunteers will be available to help locate Rideshares if required.<br>
