Good morning,

Please see the below announcement about another opportunity to share your
thoughts and concerns regarding changes to the DASH bus system. There will
be a public hearing next Wednesday evening. I think it would be great if the
Alexandria chapter is well represented there.

See everyone tonight!

Brian Miller

President

Alexandria, NFB

stakeholders and key participants to provide a reminder about the ATV Public
Hearing on May 8th. This second round of outreach held this spring has
focused on two draft bus network concepts - the "Ridership/Frequency"
Concept and the "Coverage" Concept - which were designed to facilitate a
transit policy discussion by illustrating two very different approaches to
the future design of the Alexandria bus network.

Thank you for all the comments and feedback that have been provided over the
last two months. For those that have not yet been able to provide feedback
or would like to make additional comments, DASH and City staff will be
conducting one more public hearing at the regularly-scheduled meeting of the
ATC (DASH) Board of Directors on May 8th. Details are provided below:

Wednesday, May 8th - 5:30 PM

ATC Board of Directors Meeting

City Hall - Council Work Room, 2nd Floor

301 King Street, Alexandria, VA, 223111

The hearing will include a brief presentation from DASH and City staff
summarizing outreach to date and next steps, followed by public comments and
board discussion. This hearing will help inform the Board's decision on how
the future bus network should be designed. The next round of community
outreach - which will include a final draft ATV network for public review -
will be conducted in October/November 2019. The final short-term
recommendations of the ATV will be incorporated into the FY21 DASH Transit
Development Plan, and could be implemented as early as July 2020.
