We will be in our new location, which is as follows:<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Meridian at Eisenhower Station<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>2351 Eisenhower Ave<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Alexandria, VA 22314<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The building is literally across the street from the Eisenhower Avenue metro station. We will meet in the clubhouse, which is on the 25<sup>th</sup> floor. When you come in the Meridian, the front desk is on your right, and the elevator foyer is right in front of you. Any of the four elevators will take you to the top floor where the clubhouse is. You may need to get the front desk person to send you up if there are no residents on your elevator. The clubhouse is just a few steps from the elevator once you exit. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>There are tables and kitchen facilities in the clubhouse, so feel free to bring your dinner, or a snack to sustain you through the exciting evening.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>We have a number of exciting things on our agenda, including:<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>*Final preparations for state convention in November, including making sure there are volunteers for our exhibit hall chapter table on Friday, Nov 3 – Evelyn, 5 minutes;<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>*A demonstration of the talking prescription bottle system – Wanda and Terri, 10 minutes;<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>*A presentation on the new Smart 911 program in Alexandria – Joanne Maldanado, emergency communications manager, 15 minutes;<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>*Toy drive in Alexandria – Wanda, 5 minutes;<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>*A preview of the Do You Dream In Color documentary, including a behind the scenes introduction by one of the two film makers – Sarah Ivy Dickerson, 15 minutes;<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>*Other chapter announcements. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>After Ivy shares a few thoughts about the film, we will watch the first half hour or so to whet our appetites for the screening at state convention on November 4. For those who wish, all are welcome to stay and watch the entire 86 minute documentary. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>There’s so much going on, you don’t want to miss it!
