Hi all,
I wanted to pass on the good news that Virginia is now number two in the PAC
rankings. Here are the top ten:
National Federation of the Blind
PAC Report - States Ranked by Pledge
1. Maryland; $4,151.50; 118; $35.18; $12,564.50
2. Virginia; $2,164.50; 80; $27.06; $6,483.50
3. Colorado; $2,158.00; 55; $39.24; $6,689.00
4. Minnesota; $1,749.00; 34; $51.44; $5,257.00
5. Louisiana; $1,526.00; 60; $25.43; $4,578.00
6. Missouri; $1,279.50; 37; $34.58; $3,838.50
7. California; $1,213.50; 60; $20.23; $3,830.50
8. South Carolina; $1,042.00; 71; $14.68; $3,123.50
9. Arizona; $984.00; 39; $25.23; $2,942.00
10. Nebraska; $910.00; 40; $22.75; $2,750.00
As you see, we are only $6.50 ahead of Colorado. The good news is that we
have 80 people contributing compared to Colorado's 55. As you will remember
from the state convention, we are working toward one hundred PAC
contributors from Virginia. Let's see if we can get this done before the
national convention.
If anyone would like more information about the PAC plan and how to sign up,
please let me or Mark Roane know.
Fred Schroeder, President
National Federation of the Blind of Virginia
