Are you having trouble reading the newspaper because the print seems to be getting smaller? Or do you or someone you know have problems using the washer or stove because you can’t read the controls? Are you afraid to go out at night because you can’t see the curb down? If so, this fair is for you.
You will learn how to:
· Make a cell phone call
· Use your telephone to read the newspaper
· Access library services
· Read a menu in a restaurant
· Get the independent living training you need
· Gain access to directory listings and similar information
· Learn through personal testimony that life is not over when you lose your sight
· Learn how to use a variety of simple techniques and gadgets to make everyday tasks easy and fun
· Win a dinner out or free taxi service!
