DBVI seeks a qualified leader to direct the Virginia Industries for the
Blind, an accredited affiliate of the National Industries for the Blind and
a distributor of products manufactured under the provisions of the
Javits-Wagner-O'Day Act and the Ability One Program. The Virginia Industries
for the Blind has two manufacturing plants, sixteen satellite operations
including self-service and base supply stores serving military and federal
employees, and numerous contracts for services with federal and state
agencies. This leadership role encompasses directing the business
operations: marketing, production, pricing, financial and budgeting
activities and facilities operations, contracting and manufacturing as well
as strategic and policy planning. You will collaborate with the Division of
Services to ensure implementation of rehabilitation services for blind and
vision impaired industry workers.
