[Nfbv-announce] Are you ready to join the NFBV A-Team?

Unlike your Aunt’s garden club or your Grandfather’s chess club, the National Federation of the Blind is a movement whose activities have far reaching social and economic implications for the blind.



For over 50 years, the NFBV has been working hard to ensure that every economic and social opportunity offered to the sighted community is also available to the blind of the state. If there is only one organization who truly believes in the abilities of the blind, it is the NFBV.



The decades of social and economic success the NFBV has worked for is because of the leaders among us who have stepped forward when the rights of the blind were threatened.



Are you one of those leaders? Do you wish you could do more to be a part of the largest organization of the blind in the country? Do you want to know how you can help? The NFBV has an opportunity for you 



The NFBV State Leadership E-mail list was established several years ago in order for the leaders in the state to more easily exchange ideas as well as be a mechanism for being able to quickly organize when needed. And, until now, only open to those currently or formerly holding office in the state organization.



Our state President, Dr. Fred Schroeder wants to make this important NFBV resource available to members in the state in order to encourage leadership in addition to promoting a more active membership.
