Below is what I sent to the Senator. This should give you an idea what to 
write.

I am a blind person in Virginia and I know how difficult it is to find good 
full  time employment. That is why I am asking the Senator to vote against 
amendment 1742. For many blind people, running vending stands on our nations 
highway's is the only viable employment they can find. For each stand given 
to the highest bidding comercial vendor , that means that a visually 
impaired person becomes unemployed and therefore must depend on government 
assistance-- possibly for years until they can find other employment.

So, please vote NO on amendment 1742. There are better ways to save money 
without firing thousands of working blind.
