iPhones for the Blind

Apple's iPhone is the first fully-
accessible touch-screen device
designed for both sighted and
blind users. Because Apple chose to
incorporate accessibility right into
their products, you do not need to
purchase additional software to
make your iPhone work with speech
output or a Braille display.

The Fairfax Chapter of the
National Federation of the Blind

will hold an educational seminar
on the iPhone April 28, 2012 at the
Fairfax Regional Library at 2:00 PM.

This seminar will be geared primarily
for those who are considering
using an iPhone or have recently
purchased one. More advanced
users are encouraged to attend and
teach others how to use the iPhone
to live a more independent and
productive life.

At this event, you will learn how to
navigate your phone, download
music, purchase books, find fun (and
productive) apps, and how to type
using the on-screen keyboard.

Come obtain hands-on experience,
a wealth of information, and learn
to be less intimidated by fancy
technology like the iPhone!
