[Nfbv-announce] Door Prizes for Convention Needed

Good evening fellow Federationists,

 

I do hope you are getting excited for this year's National Federation of the
Blind of Virginia's annual state convention. The Richmond chapter has been
working hard to make it a memorable experience for all an with the guidance
of our strong leaders and members of the convention planning team, I am
confident this will happen. We owe so much to this committee and I hope you
will support them in the following request.

 

As part of the excitement, registered convention goers' names will be put
into the door prize raffle. These prizes will be given out during our
general sessions as well as during our banquet. We need your help to make
sure we have plenty of fun in this activity, which means plenty of door
prizes to go around. Door prizes can be brought to the convention
registration desk and they will then bebe distributed at random throughout
the weekend. Door prizes can range from gift certificates to cash prizes, as
well as material items such as NFB logoed bags and shirts, or gift boxes
from your favorite store. There's an endless list of things that one can use
as a door prize so if you have questions, please direct them to me. We will
not accept items which require refridgeration or have already been opened or
used, such as a pre-viewed DVD as we cannot guarantee the item has not been
tampered with. .

 

Chapter presidents, I would also appreciate if your chapter is planning to
bring items to please try and give me some idea of how many your members may
be bringing so we have an idea of how to best spread them out.
