All,

I am pleased to announce that the Governor's Office via the press release
shown below, today  made known three appointments to the Virginia Board for
the Blind and Vision Impaired. 

I wish to congratulate Bob Dendy and Marc Johnson on their reappointments to
the Board. I greatly appreciate the service that each of these gentlemen has
rendered on behalf of Virginians who are blind and am glad that they've
chosen to continue their association with the Board. 

I also want to welcome Deborah Prost to the Board as a new member. I'm sure
Mrs. Prost's experience as an advocate and teacher of children who are blind
and visually impaired will serve us well.

Congratulations to all, and  we look forward to seeing you at Octobers
quarterly Board meeting.

Governor McDonnell Announces Administration and Board Appointments 

RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced appointments to seven
Virginia boards and commissions. He also announced an additional appointment
to his administration under the Secretary of the Commonwealth. Further
announcements regarding additional appointments in the McDonnell
administration will continue to be made in the months ahead.

Margaret D. Sacks, Conflict of Interest Manager

Prior to joining the McDonnell Administration, Ms. Sacks worked in public
affairs at Powell Tate in Washington, DC. She specialized in communications
and public awareness campaigns on behalf of corporations and federal
agencies. She began her career as the legislative director for former
Senator Jay O'Brien while he served in the House of Delegates and the State
Senate.  

Ms. Sacks graduated from the University of Richmond with a B.A. in political
science and an endorsement in secondary education. She earned a master's in
public policy from George Washington University. Ms. Sacks is a native
Virginian.
