Federation Family,
Our Virginia Caucus will be held Friday evening, July 1 beginning a 10:00
p.m.
Any Virginia students attending convention that want to attend the National
Association of Blind Students (NABS) which is held the same evening, are
excused from our Caucus. All others attending the convention are expected
to be at this meeting from 10:00 to 11:00 p.m.
A cash door prize will be drawn for those in attendance at the conclusion of
this meeting. So don't miss it!
The hotel meeting room will be announced later.
If you have questions, please let us know.
Thank you,
Michael
The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.

Subject: Virginia Caucus at National Convention
I write to ask, if you are planning to attend our 2016 Convention
, please Send an Email to me at michaelgkasey at verizon.net

Let me know if you will attend the Virginia Caucus scheduled for July 1,
Friday at 10 pm
Also let me know if you would attend the Caucus if moved to Saturday
morning.
Here is why I need to know.
Our 2016 NFB Convention in Orlando is June 30 - July 6
Our Virginia Caucus is scheduled for Friday evening, July 1 from 10 p.m. to
11 p.m.
This time in the past has been the best time to hold our Caucus and occurs
the evening before the NFB Board of Directors Meeting.
The National Association of Blind Students (NABS) meets the same evening
from 7 to 11 p.m.
Our Virginia Students need to attend this meeting, especially if they are
seeking a leadership role. This means though they will miss our Virginia
Caucus.
This year we will consider an option to hold our Virginia Caucus on July 2,
Saturday morning from 7 to 8 am
We have not worked out logistic for this yet.
Thank you,
Michael
