I am sending this email to remind all students, parents, and family members of blind students about the important conference call that the student division will be having on Thursday. This meeting, aside from covering all necessary information for upcoming fundraising and events, will be focused on getting our students some financial assistance with college. The Virginia Association of Blind Students will be discussing the current NFB national college scholarship and the keys to successfully winning one during your time in school. To drive this discussion, our secretary, Sharon Jose, will be leading the discussion and giving us valuable information that afforded her the opportunity to become last year’s winner from Virginia. To assist her in knowing the National Scholarship Panel’s requirements, Mr. Everett Bacon, state President of Utah, will be on the call as well. Please make time to call-in and retrieve the treasures of information that they will be dispersing this week.
