[Nfbv-announce] Salsa dance party event an outstanding success!

On Saturday, May 13, the Fairfax Chapter hosted a Salsa dance class and dance party. It was held at the Providence Community Center in Fairfax and ran for nearly 3 hours.

We had over 30 attendees from all ages and dance abilities. Our dance instructor Concheatta made sure everyone mastered the steps and was able to practice with others.

But, it wasn't just a dance class. For hours, our DJ, Alfredo  spun the tunes that kept everyone out of their chairs and on the dance floor. He even played some disco hits for us older dancers.

Our goal was to give vision impaired students and adults a chance to have a great time dancing and meeting others. Again, we met all our goals.

Special thanks go to Annette Carr, Joy Relton, and Carolena Garrison for all the effort they put in to ensuring everyone had a great time.
