[Nfbv-announce] Regarding a Special Offer from Aira for All NFBV Convention Attendees

Hello All,

This is an excellent trial offer from AIRA for a free month to try out the smart glasses. I picked up mine at the national NFB convention in Orlando this past summer and have found many uses for them. For those of you that are my friends on my personal Facebook account, you know that Jen and I recently returned from a western Caribbean cruise where I used the smart glasses to have the Broadway musical Cats and an acrobatic show described to me. Also while on board the ship, I had an AIRA agent read the screen on a slot machine to me in the casino and was able to use them to play BINGO as well.

I have used the glasses to travel through airports, use in accessible websites and just gain access to visual information in my environment. It always has been and will always be important to have good travel skills, AIRA is not a replacement for these important skills. However, it can be an effective tool in your tool box that you can use to gather additional visual information as you move through the world.
