Leadership opportunities in the Federation are always abundant and our
affiliate is looking for someone that is eager to further propel themselves
into the work and philosophy of the Federation. This year, at our 59th NFBV
State Convention, a special election will be held for the position of
corresponding secretary (for a one year term). This affiliate executive
board position serves as a liaison between affiliate members and the world
via communication. As the corresponding secretary, your duties would
include:

 

1.	, Forwarding to, posting to, and writing for the NFBV Announced
List.
2.	Monitoring email exchanges on the NFBV Announced list.
3.	Serving as the chair of the communications committee.
4.	Working with the committee on assuring that approved messages are on
NFBV social media platforms.
5.	Making sure that all NFBV information, websites, and branding are
consistent with national requirements. 

 

 

This position is the affiliate's gate keeper in terms of communication and
has the responsibility of embodying the overall message of its members. This
is a 1-year term to be filled and the prospective candidates should:

 

1.      Be sure to commit to daily maintenance of the list serve.

2.      Be comfortable with having technological, interpersonal, and social
media contact with affiliate members, national leaders, and members of the
Federation at large.

3.      Be proficient in email software (preferably Outlook or Webmail).

4.      Be responsible with Federation and affiliate information received.

5.      Be eloquent and professional in all forms of communication.

6.      Be personable and driven. 

 

The special election for the position of corresponding secretary will take
