[Nfbv-announce] Room Rates at the Hospitality House

Hello,

 

It's important to me that no one be left out of life. I'm all about making
everyone feel welcomed and included, so for anyone who missed my rant at the
August 4 board meeting, this gentle, but firm, reminder is for you.

 

Room rates at the Hospitality House are $79 across the board. Please, for
the love of all that is good, do not attempt to use a travel site to find a
better rate. Similarly, please do not attempt to use government or military
discounts. We're able to bring down room rates by embarking on a
multilayered agreement with the hotel, a lot of which involves us selling a
large portion of our room block and meeting a certain food and beverage
minimum.

 

Trust me, we have already worked hard to keep room rates in the same general
ballpark for everyone's convenience. We know you've worked hard for your
money, and we work hard to make convention accessible to all despite the
steady rise in hotel accommodation rates. Logistical headaches are
inevitable in planning an event of this size, but please help this be not
one of them. I will forever be grateful to you.
