> Guest Presentation – Emergency Preparedness, Are you ready?
> Presenter – Shandi Treloar, Fairfax City Office of Emergency Management.  Ms. Treloar has had a successful career in emergency management working with clients at all levels of government. Over the course of her career, she has gained experience across the entire spectrum of emergency management. The City of Fairfax is her longest-standing client, having served the City for over ten years. Shandi has supported the writing of the City's Emergency Operations Plan, debris plan and donations plan. She has developed training and exercises for the City and has conducted community outreach on behalf of the City. In addition to her emergency management consulting Shandi serves on the board of the National Emergency Management Association as the Chair of the Private Sector Committee and currently supports the Electric Infrastructure Security Council as their Private Sector Coordinator.

As a person with a disability, what should you know before a disaster happens to ensure your needs are met?  What about your guide or service dog during a disaster?  Join us at this month’s NFBV Fairfax Chapter meeting and learn the answers to these questions and much more to help you and your family be prepared in an emergency.
