> Each state is expected to publish a state plan Under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)  on how they are delivering workforce services to citizens.
> These state agencies are required to request public comment on their plan. Virginia has prepared a combined plan which includes services provided by the Virginia Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired (DBVI) along with other state agencies/organizations in the vocational rehabilitation and workforce space.
> DBVI Deputy  Commissioner for Services Rick Mitchell provided the plan to me in late February and I failed to distribute it earlier. Public comment feedback is due  march 8 which suggests you should take action quickly to provide feedback.

> The document linked below presents the draft for the 4-year strategic and operational plan for 15 federally-funded programs that are a part of the workforce development system in Virginia. 
> We thought it was important to share the plan and provide the opportunity to provide public comment.
