> The National Federation of the Blind and the National Federation of the Blind of Virginia are excited to announce a free, in-home edition of the  2020 BELL Academy Summer Camp.

> BELL Academy In-Home Edition
> Our BELL – Braille Enrichment for Literacy and Learning – Academy In-Home Edition is a two-week virtual summer program that uses a reverse classroom approach to help students ages 4-12 explore critical nonvisual techniques and  Braille literacy at home. Each two-week session includes:
> • 20+ lesson plans to be completed at home either solo or with a parent/guardian;
> • A box of supporting materials sent to your home;
> • A 1-hour virtual session conducted either at 11am or 6pm EDT, Monday through Friday;
> • Daily mentorship/social interaction, and;
> • Optional social hour.

> Session Dates
> • June 22, 2020 through July 3, 2020 (offered in Spanish and English)
> • July 27, 2020 through August 7, 2020 

> With a variety of fun, hands-on independent living activities and opportunities for lifelong friendships and mentorship from successful blind adults, we emphasize that even vision impaired children who do not have braille in their IEP will find a wealth of enjoyment and growth opportunities.

> After registering for BELL In Home Edition, Virginians will be offered the option to sign up for the free BELL Virginia Supplemental Program for a daily additional exciting 2 hours of interaction designed to build on that day’s lesson plan with other Virginia children.
