Hey NFB Family and Friends, 

 

The below is a  scholarship being offered by The Lion's Eye Institute.  The
Lion's are not affiliated with the NFBV.  Please follow the application
instructions and contact   Woody Woodard, or  Rodney Neeley  with any
questions.  Thank you.

 

Hello Fellow Blind Virginians,

I would like to invite you to apply for a Virginia Lions Eye Institute
Foundation (VLEIF) Scholastic grant.  VLEIF usually awards approximately 40
scholastic grants of approximately $1500 during each calendar year.  Blind
Virginians who live in the following areas are eligible to apply for these
scholastic grants:  northern Virginia, Fredericksburg, Charlottesville,
Staunton, Harrisonburg, and Winchester.  All scholastic grant applications
must be received by December 5, 2020.

These scholastic grants may be used to pay college tuition, purchase
assistive technology, or for other purposes as long as it would increase a
blind/visually impaired person's ability to live independently.

Preference will be given to people who have not received a VLEIF scholastic
grant in the past.
