Hi Virginia Affiliate Members,

We are excited to share that registration for the 2022 NFB National
Convention will open on March 1, 2022. We hope you are thinking about
joining us in New Orleans, Louisiana from Tuesday, July 5 through Sunday,
July 10. One highlight of the convention will be the banquet during the
evening of Sunday, July 10 so you will want to plan your return for July 11.

Details about our programs for first time convention attendees are provided
in the message after we outline details about banquet ticket reimbursement.

As agreed at our January 17 NFB of Virginia Board of Directors meeting, the
Virginia affiliate will be supporting individual members buy reimbursing for
banquet tickets. You should pre-register for the convention and purchase
your banquet ticket as part of your preregistration at the pre-registration
price of $70.

A link for pre-registration can be found starting March 1 at the National
Convention Landing page:

https://nfb.org/get-involved/national-convention

Our national office will provide our Treasurer Mark Roane with a list of all
individuals from Virginia who pre-registered and purchased banquet tickets.
Mark will use that information along with updated membership lists to issue
reimbursement checks shortly after convention in July 2022. Yes, you need to
be a member of the virginia affiliate to receive reimbursement so make sure
you pay your dues.

If you choose to purchase your banquet ticket at convention, please make
certain to obtain proof of purchase. However, the Virginia affiliate will
reimburse only the pre-registration price of $70.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to myself or
Treasurer Mark Roane.

Details on the McDonald Fellowship and Kenneth Jernigan Scholarship for
first time in person convention attendees including application links are
provided below my signature.
