Hey NFB Family and Friends,

I  hope everyone is having a  good week. Enjoy the weather, it's finally

Way to go RISE students and mentors! The students and mentors visited
National Center, in Maryland, and had fun while learning career skills. From
writing a  cover letter to using a  chainsaw! What a  weekend.

Spotlight On.

Greetings once again,

It is almost time for the monthly At Large chapter conference call.

Congrats to all college and K-12 students for successfully completing
another academic year.  Best wishes for an interesting and relaxing Summer
break.  Key topics in this months call include a review of the affiliate
board meeting from a few weeks back and a discussion of August, September,
and October programming.

Greetings everyone, 

I hope everything is going well.  Our next meeting is very special.  If you
use Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) paratransit services, then this is a meeting
you will not want to miss.  Mr. Keith Johnson, Director of Paratransit
Services for HRT is our guest speaker.  As some of you may remember, he was
scheduled for our March meeting, but could not come due to a family
emergency.  Our next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, May 21, 2022.  We
will be meeting both in person at Bangkok Gardens, 417 West 21st. Street,
Norfolk, VA 23517 and via Zoom.  Those coming in person and joining us for
lunch should arrive at 1 PM, with the meeting running from 2-3:30 PM.  Zoom
connection details appear below.  If you are joining us in person, please
let me know not later than Wednesday, May 18 so that I can give the
restaurant a count.  My contact information is below.  I look forward to
seeing everyone at our meeting.  It should be informative and interesting.
