Please see below for an update from the National Office on this year's
Washington Seminar.

First, we are back to a fully in-person Washington Seminar for 2023. Nearly
all Congressional offices are accepting in person meetings. However, the
House and Senate are still requiring escorts as of the time of this email.

As far as COVID-19 protocols, we will be requiring all participants to wear
a mask for the general training meeting that will occur at the hotel on
Monday, January 30, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and for the Great Gathering-In
that will occur that same day from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. We will not be
requiring masks at any other time but all attendees are welcome to wear
masks if they like. The District of Columbia, the hotel, and Congress do not
require masks, but there is a chance that some individual Congressional
offices might, so it might be a good idea to check with the office when you
schedule your affiliate meetings. We will also not be requiring vaccination
or testing before you come to Washington, but both are suggested. Anyone who
is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should test themselves, and if positive
cancel their trip. If you begin to experience symptoms and test positive
while already in Washington, we strongly suggest that you quarantine in your
hotel room.

Please be sure to make your hotel reservations as soon as possible. Our
hotel block expires on December 27, 2022. If you are having any problems
making your reservation, please contact me at kwalls at nfb.org
<mailto:kwalls at nfb.org> or 410-659-9314, extension 2223.

After Thanksgiving, we will most likely be announcing the 2023 Washington
Seminar issues during the week of December 5, and we will be having a series
of Zoom training sessions, starting with an issues training session that
will likely be conducted during week of December 12. Finally, we are
planning to have a Congressional Reception the evening of Tuesday, January
31 that all Washington Seminar attendees are invited to attend.

As always, for the most up-to-date information regarding the 2023 Washington
Seminar, please visit nfb.org/Washington-seminar.

Happy Thanksgiving!
