THE GREATER ALEXANDRIA CHAPTER wants to be your Valentine! 

We are hosting our second ever WINE TASTING AND CULTURAL ICONS EXPERIENCE on
Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. and we want YOU to join us!  We
will be featuring two fabulous wines from the romantic countries of France
and Italy!  Please see the descriptions at the end of this email.

To participate in this treat for the senses, here's what you need to do:

1.     Send in your payment of $25.00 to our Zelle account at
<mailto:NFBVGAC1 at GMAIL.COM> NFBVGAC1 at GMAIL.COM  (This includes 2 bottles of
awesome wine, and your ticket to the most extraordinary virtual wine tasting
experience on this side of the Continental Divide!)  

2.     Send Renee Valdez an email letting me know you sent in your payment -

address in the email so we will know where to deliver the wine.

If you do not have Zelle, feel free to send a check for $25 made out to The
Greater Alexandria Chapter and mail it to:

DEADLINE FOR PAYMENT IS MONDAY, FEBRUARY 20th BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS.

Remember to send me an email letting me know you mailed a check and to
provide your home address for delivery of the wine.

3.     Your two bottles of succulent wines will be delivered right to your
door on Wednesday, February 22nd.  We can deliver only to Northern Virginia,
and DC, NW/SW.  If you live in Fairfax, we will provide you the address to
the wine seller and you can pick up your wine, since it is in that location.

4.     Have your two bottles of sensational wine and your wine glasses at
the ready!

5.     Join the Zoom call on Thursday, February 23rd by 6:55 p.m.  The link
will be provided a few days prior to the event.

The second half of our Valentine's Day Celebration will begin at 7:45 p.m.
If you are not participating in the WINE TASTING part of the evening, just
ZOOM IN at 7:45 p.m. for the CULTURAL ICONS part!  No money required!  

The second half of our celebration will be filled with all things loverly!

FEATURED WINES OF THE EVENING:

2015 Abbotts & Delaunay, "A Tire D'Aile", Cotes du Roussillon, (France)

Aroma of raspberry, violet, licorice and blackberry underscored by spicy
notes. Full-bodied from the start with soft tannins, and long on the finish.
The grapes are handpicked. The Syrah and Grenache grapes are vinified
traditionally while the Carignan undergoes whole bunch maceration. Enjoy
with grilled meats, poultry in puff pastry, and Mediterranean cuisine.

2021 Dipinti Pinot Grigio, (Trentino, Italy), 

 

Delicately perfumed with scents of flowers and spice, it features almond,
tangerine and apricot fruits. Softly textured and balanced with a crisp,
citrus finish.  A delicious aperitif or pair with seafood and salads
