[NFBV-Announce] Visiting the General Assembly at the Pocahontas Building

I am looking forward to seeing everyone at our  Richmond Seminar at the DBVI
Library and Resource Center on Monday and at the Pocahontas Building on
Tuesday! This email provides directions to the Pocahontas building. Whether
you plan to use an Uber/Lyft, walk, or drive to the building, you will want
to read this message.

In addition, for those staying at the Delta Hotel, the hotel's shuttle buses
will provide transportation  to the Pocahantas Building. They will also
offer pick up service but you will need to contact the hotel to request a
pick up.

The address for the Pocahontas Building is 900 East Main Street, Richmond,
VA 23219. Go to the entrance marked Public Entrance on Bank Street, which is
the south side of the building.  There will be a security screening at this
entrance. This entrance is wheelchair accessible.

 

Parking

A limited number of metered public parking spaces (2 hours) are on Bank
Street, between Governor and 14th Streets, on the south side of Main Street,
between 9th and 12th Streets and on 12th Street between Main and Bank
Streets. Pay parking lots and decks are nearby on 9th and Franklin, Grace,
and 7th and Marshall Streets.

Please note that during the legislative session parking in the area may be
limited.

Private vehicles with handicap plates are able to unload passengers on Bank
Street near the new public entrance at 10th Street. Five parking spaces
zoned for handicapped drivers are located on the north side of Bank Street,
between 9th and 10th Streets with a two hour limit.
