Hello fellow Virginians! 

I know we're all getting excited for Convention, and I wanted to make sure you were aware of a new offering this year: self-defense training designed BY the blind, FOR the blind.

As you're probably aware, blind and low vision people are often grabbed or "helped" without our consent. And that's not to mention the intentional assaults that can happen. But with training, you can learn to confidently protect yourself and your loved ones. At the state convention this year, you have the opportunity to get a sample of the SEED program, which stands for Safety Education Empowering Defense. You have two sessions to choose from on the Saturday of the convention: 2:00-3:00 and 3:15-4:15. Each session will cover the same material, but a limited number of slots are available for each.
