Hi Virginia's Blind Veterans,
The National Federation of the Blind  of Virginia will be holding our state
convention over the weekend of November 2-5 in Williamsburg, VA at the
Doubletree Williamsburg. We have some exciting opportunities to benefit
veterans and would like to recognize our veterans at our state convention.


On Friday, November 3, we will be holding two events for veterans.

4:00 PM Blind Veterans Meet Up
Richmond Virginia Blinded Veterans Association (RVBVA) Veterans Social
President Gerald Meredith invites all those serving and those who have
served, family and friends, to meet members and learn about the BVA. Sherri
Geiger who serves as VIST Coordinator of the VA's Visual Impairment Services
Outpatient Rehabilitation (VISOR) Program will be present to share
information about services. Come out and meet veterans and make some new
friends. 


9:00 AM Blind Color Guard 
It's time for the Blind Color Guard to help us kick off the convention as
part of our Opening Ceremonies on Friday morning, November 3. We are calling
all veterans to join the color guard. If you're interested in joining and
representing your service branch, contact me at geraldmeredith1 at outlook.com
